Here’s a blogging eithics and procedures questions for you:
Are the bloggers in the posse going to identify themselves throughout the conference as journalists? If their name tags say “media” for instance, or “IABC CAFE REPORTER” people they are talking to will, perhaps, choose their words more carefully, knowing they may be published.
Speakers, of course, should start from the perspective that they are on the record and likely to be quoted, for the part of their perfornmace on stage. But what about in conversatin afterwards?

Hi Brian. I am not asking people to be “reporters” or “journalists” in the traditional sense. Rather, I am asking them, as participants in the conference, to post their thoughts and observations, including their thoughts on sessions they attend, or whatever else strikes their fancy for that matter. I did not have 60 Minutes in mind as the model.

I’m still weighing whether or not to come to the conference, but if I do, I’ll be blogging about it in my own way.
Plus, I could corner more people for my PR Face2Face series!

Hey Jeremy. Glad to hear you are thinking about coming to Washington. It would great to have you contributing your thoughts and comments on the conference content and, yes, it would be a good opportunity to round up some more folks for your Face2Face series - which I enjoy by the way.
If you do attend, be sure to trip me in the hallway so we can meet each other face-to-face.

Yah, I need to make that decision pretty soon, huh? I was interviewed by a freshman in high school, who lives in Virginia, and is interested in PR - any way to swing her a free pass for her and her Mom, reaching out to the next generation??
