Plus an interview with Annita Stokes Thomas who discusses cross-cultural communication within organizations, with advice on why communicators should be aware of (and understand) cultural differences, things communicators need to do to better understand the various cultures they work with in their organizations, and three top tips for communicating across cultures.

Shel Holtz, ABC, interviews Brian Solis, principal of FutureWorks Public Relations and an original member of the Social Media Release (SMR) working group. IABC is assuming a leadership role in the SMR initiative and Brian offers insight into the origination of the concept, its evolution, and the challenges ahead.
